Fraser Valley

The Fraser Valley Advisory Council handles the planning and implementation of local HRMA activities and is made up of members representing a broad range of HR experience levels and areas of practice.

HRMA members are encouraged to participate on the Advisory Council and/or provide suggestions and ideas of local interest. The Fraser Valley Advisory Council welcomes input from all HRMA members who would like to be involved with the growth of HR practice in the region. A call for volunteers on the Council is made in the spring each year.

Your Fraser Valley Advisory Council:

Chair – Dee Sharma, CHRP

Dee is Director Human Resources at World Duty Free Group. He has 15+ years of experience in people strategy and organizational development through effective recruiting, professional development, succession and strategic planning and HR metrics. This is Dee’s third year on the advisory council.

Karen_Ayres

Outgoing Chair – Karen Ayres, CHRP

Karen is President and Principal of Corporate Inspirations, an executive coaching and consulting firm. She is a strategically skilled change management professional with experience in integration projects for mergers and acquisitions leading high powered complex teams through transition. It is Karen’s 6th and final year serving on council.

Awards – Brenda Cliffe, CHRP

Brenda Cliffe is currently the Human Resource and Finance Manager for Langley Community Services Society. Brenda has worked for various industries and brings over 16 years of experience. This is Brenda’s third year serving on the advisory council.

Jayne Barron

CHRP & Professional Development &  Post Secondary – Jayne Barron, CHRP

Jayne is the Principal of Workforce Solutions Group and has over 15 years’ experience in career and corporate development.  Jayne’s expertise is in training and development, career coaching, and business/management consulting.  This is Jayne’s fourth year on council.

Lyne_Moussa

Communications – Lyne Moussa, CHRP

Lyne is the Manager of Wellness, Safety & Disability at Coast Capital Savings Credit Union. She holds a Bachelor of Science, a Baccalaureate in Human Resources a Diploma in Disability and Rehabilitation Management, a Leading a Mentally Healthy Workplace Certificate and a certificate in Ergonomics. This is her 6th year serving on the advisory council.

DanSzezepaniak

Membership – Dan Szezepaniak

Dan has a BBA with an HR concentration and an economics minor and holds a Professional Communications Certificate. Dan is currently working as an HR Generalist and a business consultant for a medical clinic in the Fraser Valley, and this is his second year serving on the advisory council.

Lea_Romanelli

Networking – Lea Romanelli

Lea is the District Human Resources Manager- Walmart. Lea is completing the last year of a Bachelor of Human Resources and Labour Relations Degree and has 8 years of Retail HR- Operations experience specializing in Talent Management and HR Planning. This is her first year serving on the advisory council.

Michael_Roberts

Post-Secondary and Professional Development – Michael Roberts

Michael is President of Caliessen Consulting Inc., which focuses on helping small and medium-sized companies better understand and manage their HR function.   He is a seasoned HR executive from the High Tech industry with extensive experience in all aspects of Human Resources Management. This is his 1st year serving on the advisory council.

Volunteering – Amandeep Kochar, CHRP

Amandeep is currently working as an HR Specialist at Clevest Solutions Inc. She has experience in all areas of HR, including health and safety, payroll, benefits administration, and full-cycle recruitment. Prior to getting into HR she worked in accounting, gaining knowledge of both Canadian and US tax laws. This is her second year serving on the advisory council.
